Donny Osmond is an American singer, actor, dancer, and television personality. He was born on December 9, 1957, in Ogden, Utah, USA, and is the seventh of nine children. Osmond first gained fame as a member of the family musical group, The Osmonds, which also included his brothers Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay. The group achieved success in the 1970s with hits such as “One Bad Apple,” “Crazy Horses,” and “Love Me for a Reason.”

In 1971, Osmond began his solo career, and he released his debut album, “Donny Osmond,” which included the hit single “Sweet and Innocent.” He continued to release successful albums throughout the 1970s, including “To You with Love, Donny” (1971), “Too Young” (1972), and “Donny” (1974). Osmond’s music is often described as a mix of pop, rock, and soul.
